It has been proven that snoring in general is caused by over-relaxation of the upper airway during periods of deep sleep. SNORESTOPPER has been designed specifically to control snoring by modifying the level of consciousness of the snorer without actually waking them.
Upon detecting an audible snore, the lamp will deliver a
gentle and variable light sequence as part of a carefully controlled, patented stimulation. Although brief, the
stimulation has the effect of moving the snorer into a less deep sleeping pattern without waking them or anyone else sharing the room. In this way, good quality sleep is maintained. The cycle is repeated if the snorer returns to a deeper level of sleep and begins to snore again.
SNORESTOPPER is completely safe, free from side-effects and requires no set-up procedure. It is robustly constructed from high-quality components, consumes little power (less than 20W), is neutral in colour to fit discretely into any bedroom and is carefully sized to be unobtrusive without sacrificing ease of use.
Every SNORESTOPPER is supplied with a 12 month manufacturer’s warranty and a standard UK 240V power supply. Note that a travel adaptor will be required for use outside the UK.
Method of Operation:
| 1. |
Plug the unit into any domestic mains supply. If the unit is to be used outside the UK, then a suitable travel transformer will be required. |
| 2. |
Place the SNORESTOPPER beside the bed next to the snorer (within 1 metres) and preferably at head height when lying down. A bedside table is ideal. |
| 3. |
Before going to sleep, switch the unit to either ‘Low’ or ‘High’ sensitivity (selection will depend upon specific local factors e.g. background noise, bedroom acoustics etc). |
| 4. |
Switch the unit off after waking. |
